Why would anyone go with someone without a history of publishing anything? While I already had 5 major published titles both hardware and software as well as a working prototype of the development system even manufactured. Which was what the investors were interested in and came to talk to me. Jeff was still working on afterburn for the Amiga the entire time and still did not have anything worth showing.

I was never in punk.. I was a partner and we wanted to start a
company and Jeff was also looking to start a development house. Hence why I spent so much money on creating a development system. Jeff
tried with many others to create a group but it all went nowhere as everyone
wanted majority and control. We went to the game conference to meet investors
after trying many others like sega etc. to fund us but mostly we got threats
from them..
There while I was talking to people about my development system I met the guys who wanted to start acclaim and from sunsoft ventures and RazorSoft was looking to fund some developers to create software for them to publish. They were interested and told me to get in contact with them and gave me their information. I was driving home from the conference and told jeff I had a meeting setup with them but he took all the papers and contact info for them from my bag and flew to meet with them while telling me not to negotiate with them as he was better at that and in the 6 or so meetings we had with others, he did all the talking until then but I was present as I was the one who had something to show anyone who asked what we were offering.
So my meeting with RazorSoft to fund our venture turned into jeff’s meeting with them to fund his company. Jeff did not fund my development system but did help me with info and we always talked about setting up a development house and not just jeff setting up a company for himself.
The emulator was my contribution to the company. Seems the investors were also my contribution as I was the one who found them and setup the meeting.
Why would I let someone else use me and my contacts to setup his company with me left holding the bag??? He stopped calling me since that day after his meeting with the guys from acclaim and sunsoft, where as before we used to do lunch and dinner every day.
Since at the time I was so in debt, I was left in a lurch. As he had taken all the papers and info from me, I had nothing and what could I do? That’s when I realized my mistake
in trusting him.
I had to pick up some graphics files for IDG and I went in to
punk 6 months later and saw scott and kevin working on a development machine
but did not talk to them. Scott already had the blueprint and schematic
diagrams I had given him to create the circuit board that I had hired him to
create on the computer for manufacture. So I was surprised about him working on the same thing. No
wonder jeff hired him since I had told jeff I had hired scott to do the file
for getting my system manufactured and he knew how it was set up. So I just picked up the graphics files left.
Seems the guys from acclaim fired jeff in the end and placed
Darrin in charge.. and remember Darren also totalled Bruce’s Porsche.
Watching too much star trek… and this is what happens.. You get
an idealistic version of the world and forget what people are really like.
Because if you are only looking for #1, someone will come along to screw you as
well sooner or later and no one around you to warn you or lookout for you.

Look forget all the bullshit about making the world a better place. The most valuable companies in this valley were built and run by savages, who cheat to win zuckie jobs spangandbang and gavin belson.
