The story of 15 Second Copy for the C-64 2011-07-18   by  Michael Steil by Mike Pall , published with permission. [This is a follow-up to Thomas Tempelmann’s  Story of FCopy for the C-64 .] Ok, I have to make a confession … more than 25 years late: I’ve reverse-engineered Thomas Tempelmann’s code, added various improvements and spread them around. I guess I’m at least partially responsible for the slew of fast-loaders, fast-copys etc. that circulated in the German C64 scene and beyond. V-Max Copy Protection for Commodore 64 disk

V-Max Copy Protection for Commodore 64 disk. There was four main versions of this copy protection, then some versions with variations. V-max protection was used my many different publishers including Activision, Cinemaware, Mindscape, Origin, Sega, Taito, Thunder Mountain and a few others. There are already some great write ups on V-Max including this one from Pete Rittwage HERE: http://c64preservation.com/vmax There was copiers that could make copies of V-Max software in the 1980’s like Burst Nibbler and Supercard. Plus many others that could copy a V-Max protected disk then you applied a parameter (crack) on the copy for it to work, like Disk Invaders, Fast Hackem, Maverick, etc. There is also a NEW release in the V-Max copy programs called: Revolution V by Lord Crass. This program can be found here: http://csdb.dk/release/?id=134573 Even MORE information can be found here from a Post by Lord Crass made on the Lemon64 forums: http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t...

"The Guy Game is essentially an instant party disguised as a video game," said Jeff Spangenberg, CEO of TOPHEAVY Studios. "We're confident that it is a cool and absolutely unique experience because it was created by guys, for guys -- complete with stylized game play, user-defined parameters, sizzling uncensored video footage that you actually interact with, and tons of hot topless coeds." The Guy Game banned, goes straight to video Following sales ban, hormone-heavy game ditches interactivity and skips to uncensored titillating DVD. It didn't take long for one of the females in the game to come forward and sue the Bermuda shorts off of Top Heavy, Microsoft, and Sony, for using her visage (and more) without consent. Or legal consent, rather. The student was, in fact, 17 years old at the time, making her a minor and legally incapable of giving consent on such a matter. Topless teen sues over 'The Guy Game' Judge temporarily stops sales of racy low-b...
